"Just write."

I once told a colleague and friend about an itch I needed to scratch.

"I really want to write," I told him, as we stood around in our workspace, dawdling, really, before we both needed to be somewhere. And since I was speaking to a multi-awarded and highly respected master of the written word, I followed up my grand declaration with, "How do I do that?"

"Just write," he answered, short of rolling his eyes at the sheer simplicity of things.

And so here we are.

This is a space for random things -- thoughts and musings, as the header says, of both the long and short varieties, topics and subjects that I feel need to be amplified or discussed, even snippets of fiction, perhaps, if I am brave enough. This space will be a home for my words, and you are welcome to step inside.
